Our Lady of Medjugorje said a few days ago, on May 25, 2019:
Our prayer today is for peace, for those who gave their lives for our peace on earth.
An honor guard plays taps at the funeral of a Friend of Medjugorje’s father, Papa Tony, here at Caritas. Papa Tony served in World War II as part of the newly formed Air Rescue Squadron, locating and saving pilots who were shot down in the South Pacific. Papa Tony came back home safe and sound, but many did not. On this day we remember those whose lives were ended in a time of unpeace, so that we may enjoy peace here.
Our Lady’s words from May 25, 2019, are very appropriate today, Memorial Day in the United States.
Eternal life waits for those who have given their lives in the service of our nation, many dying in unpeaceful circumstances, to preserve and win peace for us who still live on the earth. For these souls, their merit is peace. Today we remember them, pray for them, and thank God for their sacrifice. Today we will be praying the Patriotic Rosary in the Field of Apparitions.
