Effective Apostles

Effective Apostles

April 24, 2018 A.D.

Reflecting on the past days, with the passing of Medjugorje apostle Wayne Weible, and, in anticipation of Our Lady’s words for the 25th message which will be given tomorrow, each needs to look within their heart, and give a renewed commitment to Our Lady.

Moon, birds, Apparition Mountain in Medjugorje

The moon shines brightly as birds silhouette against the sky, above Apparition Mountain, as another day draws to a close. When the daylight of our lives come to an end, will we leave behind a shining light to illuminate those left behind?

Our response as Our Lady’s apostles, hinges on our daily conversion. Our Lady of Medjugorje said on April 2, 2018:

“…you are those who, along with prayer, need to completely surrender to my Son so that you may no longer live but my Son may live in you – so that all those who do not know my Son may see Him in you and come to desire to know Him…”

We are those who need to surrender in order to be effective apostles. The responsibility upon us is great. A Friend of Medjugorje writes:

“…You are those who are called by Our Lady, who, as servants, are to spend your hours upon the earth hard at work, not wasting even a moment on trifles, for it is Jesus who will come like a thief in the night and upon finding His servants not doing their duty, will judge them accordingly. How many hours, how many, o children of Mary, have you wasted in front of the TV and other useless things which are without value, that you could have been praying, or been active in helping in this moment of the Great Evangelization? Our Lady says to see who needs your spiritual and material help. Have your prayers been quiet in spiritual needs for others? Have your deeds been dead in helping materially or offering your labor and time in the spreading of Our Lady’s messages and with the witness of your life? You are not called to quietism; you are called to be an apostle…”1

We belong to something larger than ourselves. If we respond in surrender to God, then, we can be effective apostles, who at the close of life, will be found hard at work for Our Lady, and will leave behind a shining light as a witness and example, to light up for those left behind.
