Our Lady of Medjugorje said on March 18, 2018:
“…I loved life – the gift from God – even though pain and sufferings pierced my heart…”
Do we have witnesses of this today, living upon the earth?
A Friend of Medjugorje has spoken often about the importance of the visionaries. They have been chosen by Our Lady for a special task. It is not the same with the priests or anyone else in Medjugorje. The visionaries have a special role as witnesses of Our Lady’s apparitions that others do not have. Sadly, they are sometimes forgotten, yet, they suffer greatly for the gift they have. Medjugorje visionary Mirjana said after her annual March 18 apparition in 1995:
“…I cried because it is very difficult for me when She leaves. When I am with Her, everything is in ‘its fullness’.
“When She leaves, in that same moment, I am here on earth, and I continue without Her as if I were abandoned. But I know I am not abandoned. But She went, and She left me! This is really difficult…really difficult! When She leaves, it is so difficult that if this happened often, I don’t know how I would ‘cope’…”1
For all who are focused on their own pain and suffering, do we comprehend what it would be like to have the pain of earth, and then the joy of Heaven, but still have to come back to earth? It is enough that we should be praying every day for the visionaries of Medjugorje and what they have to endure in this separation of knowing what awaits, yet, having to still live here on the earth. Do not forget the visionaries in your daily prayers, as they have to joyfully carry the witness of Our Lady, while enduring the suffering of the world.

Beautifully spoken Crissy! Thank you.
I have never thought about praying for the visionaries! I guess in some way I thought they had everything because they have Our Lady. But yes! I will include them in my daily prayers from here forward. My heart goes out to all of them with immense gratitude for their “Yes!” to Our Mother! I can only hope to become a fraction of who they are…what Our Lady and Our Lord have made of them. Oh to be a saint! I am so far from it! May God in his mercy in the short time we have, please, please make me holy!
