Come to Caritas Sept. 14 for the Exaltation of the Cross

Join the Community of Caritas for first celebration of the Exaltation of the Cross, climbing to the Cross on Penitentiary mountain at Caritas…

Updated September 5, 2013 A.D.

I t was a Biblical mandate, where God would call His people, the Israelites, to the mountain to encounter Him and receive His blessing and instructions. The difficulty of the climb, raised high above the valleys of darkness, in the crisp clear air, near the clouds, near the heavens to listen to the voice of God. It brought grace to their familes and the tiny nation of Israel. The climb was God’s mandate 4,000 years ago, it is the mandate today.

In the years before Caritas began, the founder would often carry his sons to a mountain overlooking a field to pray, many times offering prayers for God to bless and heal this nation. It was a simple, yet deep prayer lifted high to God on a mountain overlooking a valley that was being consecrated by these prayers. Often on the mountain the founder would pray to God, “Father all creation does your will perfectly, there is no sin in the nature you created. Here in the midst of the nature that you created, which does perfectly your will, only I am a sinner. Therefore, take my will, I give it to you, and make it like nature’s which follows perfectly your every command so that everything here in this place will do Your will perfectly.” God heard those simple prayers, and sent His Mother to leave Her blessing and promise that She would intercede before God from the holy places where She appeared in his home and in the Field in which the founder was overlooking. This was over 27 years ago.

For those of you who have read the Medjugorje Headline, For the Soul of America, about Our Lady’s apparitions this past July 1-5, you would have read more about the years in the making of this great gift we have been given in Our Lady’s apparitions, and in the new Cross that now stands on the mountain overlooking the Field, and which Our Lady has given Her blessing, the same mountain in which the founder of Caritas would often pray to God for the healing of the nation.

It can be agreed that never before as much as today has our nation needed these prayers, and to follow the mandate of God to come to the mountain to pray. And so, we invite you, if you are within driving distance, to come and join the Community of Caritas on Saturday, September 14 for the first celebration of the Exaltation of the Cross, in which we will be climbing to the Cross on Penitentiary mountain, which overlooks the Holy apparition sites at Caritas. It will be a very simple prayer, like the simple prayers offered by our founder, carrying our families and our nation to the foot of the Cross.

The day’s schedule is listed below along with hotel information as well as information on free primitive camping. Please plan to be here all day Saturday, September 14, so that you will not be rushed, but can stay on the mountain with your family as long as you like.* This event is open to all men of good-will, so be sure to spread this to all your family and friends, co-workers, etc. They do not need to be a believer in Medjugorje, or even Catholic to join the Community in prayer on the mountain this day. We are simply bringing our own hearts, our families and our nation to the foot of the Cross, lifted high over this land, near the heavens, in the place where the Queen of Peace has left Her blessing for all men of good-will.

  1. Yes I really liked the article and always wondered Nature has not changed a bit from my childhood. Its innocent, the same breeze swaying the trees, and nature feeling the morning sun light, shimmering thru clouds and trees, the stars and moon. HOW I keep wondering stars above smiling. Wow, great feeling to live with and immerse with. Well we all pray for the great nation and all the nations to return to GOD. Beautiful plan laid for all of us.
