The following letter was received after the February 26, 2018, Radio WAVE broadcast with a Friend of Medjugorje titled, Hear Ye… Hear Ye…
In a world in which Our Lady just said, “is testing you,” a Friend of Medjugorje made a very strong case for why Our Lady is leading us away from modernism, modern electronics, etc. If you have not heard the broadcast, Hear Ye… Hear Ye…, be sure to take an hour of your day and learn how to change your approach to life. “Yes, I am trying to cut back, even praying that She will help me take the electronics from my home. But, can you please tell us, how will we keep in contact with mej.com, you, and keep updated with Medjugorje without them? Maybe now, I can wait 24 hrs. or so to listen if I can’t listen right away. But when the secrets begin to be revealed I don’t want any delay in receiving the messages! Please address what you see the answer to this is. While God willing and my husband agreeing, we can get rid of the phones, TV… But I am required to do my work online. And more important than that, I want to hear Her messages ASAP especially when the secrets are revealed!”

The following is a response from a Friend of Medjugorje:
Dear C.C.,
What you are experiencing is the fruit of a world built without God. Our Lady of Medjugorje said on January 25, 1997:
This has become a world, where electronics and the mediums of the world have become a necessity for many. To break from this system, requires much prayer, much heroism, much common-sense, and God opening doors for a path out. This too is possible.

Agrarian roots are still seen in Medjugorje as one can see in the above picture with the horses and Cross Mountain in the background. Our Lady came to a village that was not “farmers”, but lived a simple life from the soil. This too is a message to us of where Our Lady wishes to lead the world back to, in leading it back to God.
To give you a direct answer to your concerns, understand that when God freed the Israelites from the slavery of Egypt, a path was made ready for Israel to leave. God instructed the Israelites to take from the Egyptians whatever was needed for their journey, and the Egyptians would freely give to them. The Bible tells us that Israel, “despoiled and plundered the Egyptians.” It is important to note that these items, gold, silver, etc., were once belonging to their slaveholders, and were reminders of their time of slavery. Over time, over years, these would disappear when no longer needed, and what would remain, would be purely that which belongs to God’s people.
We are no less in the same situation today, where there is a true slavery to modernism. The events of the secrets, the messages, etc., will use these modern systems to spread the word and important happenings, but, Our Lady tells us:

The future belongs to those who build their new world with God, using Our Lady’s messages as the building blocks for a new way of life. Just as Israel used the gold and silver of Egypt to assist them on their journey, and God eventually gave them their own land, their own customs and laws, so too it is with Our Lady’s messages, building a “promised land” for those who respond to the messages. Right now, one may have to use the “gold and silver of Egypt,” to get by, but, do not be attached to these things, because they are going away and will be replaced by a simpler life. You control the electronics, don’t let them control you. Be measured in how you use them. Make them inconvenient to use.
Those who hedge their bets on the systems of the world, will drown in the sea, just as Egypt, while those “children of Israel,” the children of Our Lady, will walk on dry land towards a promised land where holiness is the norm. Make changes where you can, and pray, pray, pray. God will take care of the rest.

Hi I and my family are extended members of the Community of Caritas level 2 living as closely to the way of life as we can while not living directly on the grounds of the community. We are a family with 6 children and began our walk as far back as 2006. When I first heard and believed in Medjugorje the first impulse and conviction I felt was the electronics especially television and music along with bad books. Our initial cleansing consisted of getting rid of nearly 100 DVD’s, so many CD’s and bad books all got destroyed. By 2008 our T.V. and DVD player were gone. By late 2009 we finally got rid of the cell phone – gone! We kept the computer for the same reasons to use to keep up with things, but when the hard drive failed we didn’t replace it. I had the grace to use my work for years to hear the shows and keep up. Now after we moved I put a computer in a shed that we finished away from the house to use for specific purposes and it does not control our day. It is possible keep praying!

This writing, is so encouraging and hopeful for those who feel “attached” to the things of this world. Many times I have heard discussions about, “if we rid ourselves of everything electronic, how will we do such and such.” Relating the Israelites escape from Egypt to those who are enslaved to the system now is a crystal clear explanation. I pray many will pass this simple piece of advice to all who have the same questions I’ve heard…and I haven’t even heard the broadcast yet…so I’m looking forward to it!
Wow! God is SO good and Our Lady is the perfect follower of Him. Last night I listened to this message and was invigorated but a bit sad that I cannot do the agrarian part and am so remote that people would not join in prayer groups here without a miracle. But a small ‘miracle’ of attitude awaited me this morning when I picked a random message of Our Lady. October 2, 2010 was mine today. Humble, just (St. Joseph the Just Man), crosses, patience, boundless love, wait, pray for Shepherds, make me an APOSTLE to show the truth to those who seek it in lies and open the paths to Her Son! Deo Gratias!

I’m currently trying to decide when to cut the cell phone and the TV. I only watch 2 shows on TV and I’m paying for all of the stations. The only thing I need currently is the computer to keep in touch with mej.com!!! I’m trying to live Mother Marys’ direction. She has given me so much since I went to Medjugorje in 2016. I will succeed!!! Thank you for an inspiring explanation (as always) about Our Dear Ladys’ messages. Mother Mary and Her glorious Son Jesus will show us the way. TRUST!!!
