Believe

March 23, 2017 A.D.

Our Lady of Medjugorje said on March 18, 2017:

“…as a mother I know that you thirst for consolation, hope and protection…”

We desire to be consoled in our trials by the Mother Whom we have come to believe is here to help us. We have to believe.

Pilgrims at the Blue Cross in Medjugorje

Pilgrims at the Blue Cross on Apparition Mountain in Medjugorje. Over the years, millions of pilgrims have come here with deep belief in the presence of Our Lady. Even those who do not believe are struck by the realization that something supernatural is happening.

We have often heard a Friend of Medjugorje state, that Medjugorje is Real. We testify to this belief. How real is Medjugorje? It is as real as the simple faith of one villager that Medjugorje visionary Marija tells the following story about. This is a simple message of belief:

“…the first miracle that happened that took place here in Medjugorje, there was a man who was almost blind, who was losing his sight. He was about 80 years old. He was here from Medjugorje. His house was at the foot of Cross Mountain. He just couldn’t come out of the house on his own anymore. And his wife was also an old woman. And when she heard about the apparitions starting in Medjugorje, she went to Apparition Hill and she took a little bit of the herbs she found there and a little of the soil. She boiled that in water. She put bandages in the water mixed with red clay and the herbs and put the bandages on the eyes of her husband. After he took the bandages off, his sight was back. And after that he could walk again and he was so happy that he was able to see and walk again. All of us, even us visionaries, went to see him. He was walking up and down stairs. Before that he said he couldn’t do it. He was so content. He was 80 years old. That was such a great thing. A miracle. He lived another 10 years and then he died…”1

It is beautiful to regain ones eyesight. Even more beautiful is to regain the eyesight of faith. Medjugorje is full of these miracles, both spiritual and physical. Believe, because Medjugorje… is… real…

  1. I AM DELIGHTED TO READ THE MIRACLE OF RECEIVING SIGHT. When i visited Medjugorje I myself experienced many miracles of God through Blessed Mother Mary. She continues to intercede for us with her Son Jesus as she did in Cana. I continue to pray for all who visit Mother Mary’s place that they may experience the peace and reconciliation.

Jesus said to the gathering, ” I am the Lord & no any power would claim victory over my kingdom”. Now the beloved mother of our Lord has come forward to help us, to heal us. that’s we who should render ourselves to her call. Keeping aside all might & power, she is hovering among us. Looking after us. She was the only saint that her death, the utmost pure body had been ascended to heaven in the presence of Jesus’ disciples. Up to now not a single human being had been subjected to that glorious state. So we shall pin our hopes in her. We shall surrender all ourselves to her. May the Blessings of our Beloved Mother be with you all. Sincerely yours, Ireneus from Colombo, Ceylon. (Sri Lanka)
