“…witness with love for the Kingdom of Heaven that it may be good for you here on earth…”
This Kingdom manifests on the earth, but, it has to begin in a heart that acknowledges its errors.
One of the many paths in Medjugorje. It can be safely stated that the footprints on this path are turned over hundreds of times a day, by pilgrim after pilgrim heading to an encounter with Our Lady. These encounters lead to the grace of conversion for individuals and the whole world.
The Kingdom of Heaven which Our Lady speaks of manifests on the earth, but, the way there is trodden on a path of self-reflection and conversion. A Friend of Medjugorje explains this more:
It is not pleasant, but rather bitter, to confess that the culture of our time has greater influence on our hearts than most believe to be so. So much so that we cannot change and convict the culture, the sin of abortion, abominations, until we ourselves are purified of unbelief. Our Lady said:

Every Christian today is touched by a powerful swaying of which the Scriptures speaks of, about the time of the antichrist, that even the elect will almost be fooled. Almost means that we will have aspects of unbelief in us and almost be swayed. Our Lady’s presence is a counter to the ‘counter-Christ’ – a counter to annihilate everything, not of Our Lady and Her Son.

If we want the good here on earth, it begins in our hearts – a “counter” to what the world offers and what we have allowed to influence our hearts. If we want unbelief to disappear on the earth, it must disappear in us first. Take these next days to pray, confess, and begin the good on the earth in your heart.
