Be sure to be united with the Caritas Community this week for Our Lady’s feast days, August 4, August 5 and August 6.
Our Lady of Medjugorje revealed back in 1984 that August 5 was Her actual birthday. Years ago, a Friend of Medjugorje initiated the celebrating of August 4 as Mary’s Eve, with the 3 days preceding the August 5 feast, as days of fasting and prayer. On August 4, the Caritas Community will be praying in the Field of Apparitions for Mary’s Eve with a special scene that a Friend of Medjugorje designed over 11 years ago, the first in the world dedicated to Our Lady’s birth.
An added grace, is that Our Lady will be appearing to Mirjana this week during her Second of the Month apparition, on August 2, a day of prayer for nonbelievers.
On August 6, the Bedroom of Apparitions will be open at Caritas of Birmingham, making this week, a whole week of grace and prayer, especially needed in this time when a public desecration of Our Lady is being planned in Oklahoma City on August 15. The Marian Mysteries
The Community will be praying the Marian Mysteries of the Rosary, written by a Friend of Medjugorje in 2005 for the first public celebration* of Our Lady’s birthday. The Marian Mysteries can be downloaded Free by clicking here…
The Sinless Day
An important book to read is “August 5, What Are You Doing for Her Birthday?” in which A Friend of Medjugorje tells more of a special gift you can offer to Our Lady for Her birthday – a Sinless Day. This was first done many years ago, and the Community of Caritas in union with a Friend of Medjugorje continue this gift every August 5. The First Public Celebration of Our Lady’s Birthday
