A Friend of Medjugorje continued, “There are people that have been working for decades to destroy,” our freedoms and faith. “They’ve sat silent until the right moment.”
The recent healthcare mandate in the United States by Obama has ignited a firestorm of defiance in the face of the threat of fines. “We cannot and we will not comply with this unjust law. People of faith cannot be made second-class citizens,” wrote Bishop Robert Baker, Bishop of the Diocese of Birmingham. Bishop Baker’s words were quoted on today’s show, and were similar to those that were heard across the United States as pastors and churches are now speaking out to defend their religious liberties.
A Friend of Medjugorje hosted a one-hour special Mejanomics show to help set the tone for what Catholic and Christians need to think about this situation. “Every political question has at its root a moral question,” A Friend of Medjugorje told listeners today. Truly, in the recent history of the United States, this is a clearly black and white issue.

An exceptional show. On March 16th 1939 Great Britain and France failed to confront Hitler when he invaded Czechoslovakia and as a result Hitler was emboldened. The German army was ready to retreat if we reacted, but we didn’t, so, he pushed into Poland and the rest is history. Now, united with Christ, IS the time to fight the wicked tide of secularism that is sweeping the world. In the UK last week a judge ruled that prayers could not be on the agenda for council meetings. Either we fight for our faith and religious freedoms or we will be overrun – there is no alternative.

It states in revelations that at one point the people in the Church will become “lukewarm”. They will become so comfortable in their own lives that they forget that all things come from God’s grace. That sounds like the world today. As Catholics, it is our duty to speak out against evil deeds. The Church has become “lukewarm”. Mother Mary asks us to pray for our shepards so they may lead the flock to Her Son. We need direction with so many issues today. A great example is when a Friend of Medjugorje spoke of the third commandment. Why is the Church failing to deal with issues concerning the daily lives of the common man. I think it is very sad that a lay person is giving us more direction than the Church has done in the last 100 years. Don’t get me wrong though. I am so very grateful for a Friend of Medjugorje. He actually has the guts to speak the truth instead of being politically correct and not rocking the boat. I pray the church will continue to stand up as well.
Thank you friend of Medjugorje for your profound insights. I believe that everyone needs to especially get this to our priests and bishops. The church has mislead so many Christians from not keeping the Sabbath Holy in the church (holding dinners, fund raisers, ect.) This of course leads people to think that whatever else we do on Sunday doesn’t matter, it’s just another day. I listened to the 16th and 17th chapter of Look What Happened While You Were Sleeping, this also needs to be given to our priests and bishops. It is truly a wake up call for all mankind, Christians. Thank God for sending us Our Mother for 31 years to wake us up and for Caritas for leading us all to her…
