Four Years Ago – January 13, 2012
“Everything OK?” the Coast Guard asked.
“Affirmative,” was the reply. Just a “small technical failure.”
Five minutes later, the coast guard radioed again, requesting the ship’s position, and again asking whether it was in trouble.
“We’ve only got a technical problem…” was the reply. “But as soon as it’s resolved, we’ll communicate to you.”
This was the last radio call from the Italian cruise ship, Costa Concordia.
Everything was not okay… The ship keeled over a few hours later.
In a world where many voices say that all is okay…
Where Presidents tell entire nations that we’ve bounced back…
that we are stronger than ever…

A Friend of Medjugorje
Everything is not okay…
For years, a Friend of Medjugorje has understood the reason why Our Lady is coming to Medjugorje. The ship of this world is sinking. Our Lady of Medjugorje said on February 17, 1984:
“…The world has been drawn into a great whirlpool. It does not know what it is doing. It does not realize in what sin it is sinking…”
Since Mej.com was first released in 2006, millions of people across the world have been able to come to understand Medjugorje in a whole new light. The first major revamping of the site, was released on June 1, 2009, as the new Medjugorje.com. It caused a revolution 6 months later, when over the next two years almost all other Medjugorje sites began changing their style and presentation to better represent Medjugorje. Medjugorje.com caused an initiation for all Medjugorje websites to improve their sites. Others launched new Medjugorje initiatives online. In the media-driven frenzy of the status of Medjugorje and the Vatican, tens of thousands have found clarity and discernment through Caritas of Birmingham’s Medjugorje.com, operated by the Community of Caritas. Your support through Medjugorje.com, has helped change the whole Medjugorje world. Medjugorje.com is being reviewed and improved for 2016. New or improved ways to spread Our Lady’s messages across the world, and propagate them into cultures across the earth.
But, we cannot continue without your support.
The ship of this world will continue on it’s way tipping over, while Our Lady continues to try and draw it on a new path. Will you be a part of helping Our Lady? Through Caritas’ outreach of Medjugorje.com, you can be an active part of Our Lady’s rescue mission.
In the past, the annual budget to operate Medjugorje.com, was $208,000 for a year. With all of the complex infrastructure associated with Medjugorje.com, the building of systems, and maintenance, this budget was necessary.
We have not asked for this annual budget since 2011.
In the past 4 years, we have gradually decreased costs wherever possible, making Medjugorje.com more efficient at the same time, and continuing to offer new features and sections for your continued spiritual support. Because of our efficiency, our annual budget has decreased to $100,000 which we must quickly raise in order to continue offering Medjugorje.com, free to the world’s population.
We have known that we needed to launch a campaign to continue for 2016. Fortunately an individual has stepped forward to begin the budget for the year with a $10,000 donation, this was our sign to move now! Therefore, an additional $90,000 is needed to be quickly raised. Please donate. Inform others to donate throughout all avenues on the internet. Spread this need to all you know so Medjugorje.com will not be “stalled” very long. A campaign like this takes full attention of a staff of 10 people, to begin the implementation of the budget and projects. We are in stall mode until these funds are raised. We have been kick-started with the gift of a $10,000 donation. If you can match this, please do so.
It will take 10 people giving $10,000 each to make the 2016’s budget.
100 people giving $1000.00 each = $100,000 budget
200 people giving $500.00 each = $100,000 budget
400 people giving $250.00 each = $100,000 budget
1,000 people giving $100.00 each = $100,000 budget
1333 people giving $75.00 each = $100,000 budget
2000 people giving $50.00 each = $100,000 budget
4,000 people giving $25.00 each = $100,000 budget
The $100,000.00 is the solid base budget for the year’s expenses. Much of the year’s budget is to cover hidden costs like the hosting, Radio WAVE, etc. Included in this budget is upgrading the core platform of the site, while maintaining the same look and feel that many have come to be used to. Often we have seen organizations do major upgrades and change the entire look and feel of their site, only to find that their visitors can no longer find their way around anymore. We do not intend to change that which is good and works, like the look and feel of the site that thousands have gotten used to, and that sparked a revolution in the Medjugorje world.
Any extra donations throughout the year of 2016 will go to advancing the site and its promoting, advertising, etc., in many avenues to catch souls in different venues, introducing them to Our Lady.

Check the chart below daily and be active in introducing people until we reach the goal! Please pray, throughout the day, for this goal to be reached within a few days.
