Now as work in the fields come towards a close, it allows us to reflect on the work that needs to take place in the heart.
October 22, 2017, Medjugorje. Vineyards in Medjugorje, as they begin to die off for the season.
Our Lady of Medjugorje said on October 17, 1985:
In today’s world, many work for the sake of work, and not for a future. Work is simply to pay the bills and does not advance individuals and families to a better security. Even work related to the soil has become for the dollar, instead of for building a way of life. A Friend of Medjugorje says what happens when people no longer work to build a future, but instead work for the dollar:
“…one can lose roots. One can die to the way of life. This is what is occurring in the world today. People are being uprooted from their homeland and God is allowing others to take it.
‘If my people’ [from 2 Chronicles] is a Biblical mandate calling for repentance and He will heal the land when the repentant people take action to heal themselves.
“We are in many sins with the land and mostly thinking only about its return for money. We as a people are looking for more and more profit off the land instead of love of the land, which grows from its soil. A Way of Life for the soul, connected to the soil, grows fruit in the soul.
“The soil and the soul go together. Adam was made from it, thereby we also. We are losing our land, only driven by love of money and materialism. It is a tragedy to lose roots from the ground of which you are from…”1
We know that words like those above cut to the heart and some may feel discouraged that they cannot reach this ‘way of life of the soul’. It takes years to build, but it only takes a decision to change the direction. Taking a Friend of Medjugorje’s words above and the principle of ‘if my people…’ it is for each one to: repent, pray, fast. It is for God to work out the circumstances of how He will every day, move you one step closer to the land and its healing, as a nation and as families.

The time has come for all who love Jesus and all who languish to live in His divine Vineyard, the NEW JERUSALEM. His soft call comes with the winds of Medjugorje though His most Blessed Mother calling and reaching our heart strings to respose to His call, to prepare our hearts through repentance. But who can hear this call…. only the ones who have shaped the ears in their sheer nothingness. The meek and the humble will listen to the truth, thereby although all are called but few are chosen to enjoy God’s promised land. Love to all who have responded to God’s call.
