Medjugorje Community Member – Mother 27 Year Old Dying From…

February 27, 2012

A couple of days ago, we sent the following letter to our Extended Caritas Community members. There are four levels in the Caritas Community, known as COCI, II, III or IV. COCI members are those who live at Caritas. Those who cannot live on the grounds because of life circumstances yet desire to share in the prayer life of the community are known as COCII, COCIII, or COCIV extended community members. They also are included in the blessings that come from Our Lady when Medjugorje visionary Marija presents the community to Her in an apparition. By living as much as possible the spirit of the community, they have a share in all the prayers and spiritual benefits of the community’s life.

In April, 2010, one of the young mother’s of the Caritas Medjugorje Community was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. We sent the following letter to our Extended Community members to update them on Andrea’s condition. For the first time we are making public Andrea’s story to all those who follow our way as Our Lady has shown us. This has been a painful walk of faith for Andrea, her husband Anthony, their family and the community, but as Our Lady said:

July 25, 1987

“…Dear children, pray and accept all that God is offering you on a way which is bitter. But at the same time, God will reveal every sweetness to whomever begins to go on that way, and He will gladly answer every call of God…”

We have found this message of Our Lady to be true—there have been such sweetness in this walk with Our Lady. Her closeness has been felt by us all. Though all of us accept whatever God’s will is in regards to Anthony and Andrea’s future, we continue to pray strongly and boldly for His complete will for Andrea and we share her story with you for you to join us in this prayer for their family.

A Friend of Medjugorje

Dear Beloved Family,

Some of you have spoken to one or more of us as you have called in about Andrea, but in speaking with you, we realized that we haven’t sent an update regarding her condition. Please forgive us for this, for you are all truly family to us and we feel the urgency to tell as many as possible to be praying and fasting for this intention. Our hands and our hearts have been very full and busy as we have been helping both Annie, who just had a baby girl, Annaleah Regina Ruport on January 27th and Andrea who is no longer able to take care of her family. For those of you who aren’t sure exactly who Andrea is, she is 27 years old and mother of three children, Rebekah (4), Andrew (3) and Jacob (10 mo.). She is married to Anthony Pipp in the Community who is the oldest son of Jeff and Robin Pipp. (All of Anthony’s brothers and sisters are here in the Community.) Andrea is Mark and Mary Hudachek’s daughter and has two brothers who are all members of the Community. Many may know her for her beautiful red hair.

Before we go forward, we’ll give a brief reminder of where we’re coming from. Andrea was diagnosed with a terminal, Stage 4 cancerous brain tumor (abbreviated-PNET) in the spring of 2010. This type of tumor, the doctors said, comes back stronger and bigger every time it is removed. It was immediately removed surgically after it was discovered that spring and she went into an aggressive attack against it with some very effective natural treatments, diet adjustments, fasting, etc. She had a great year after that as her recovery went well and she and Anthony surprised us with a healthy pregnancy and baby boy, Jacob on April 12th of 2011. This alone was a medical miracle. Just before Jacob was born, Anthony and Andrea began noticing symptoms returning of the tumor and just after Jacob was born, they went in for another MRI which showed that the tumor had returned- larger than before. Again, immediately a surgery was performed, the tumor removed and instantly all of the movement she had lost physically was regained. Anthony and Andrea again went into an aggressive attack using a special type of treatment which is non-immunodestroying and again, Andrea had a very healthy, happy year. Actually, on Thanksgiving Day of 2011, she said she had never felt so good. Another miracle, as she was granted a full year of health.

Andrea Pipp, member of the Community of Caritas

In February, 2010, Andrea was a bridesmaid for the wedding of her brother and one of the single consecrated who had lived in community for more than eight years. Shortly after the wedding, Andrea began experiencing occasional piercing headaches and dizziness. In April, she was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. So began this journey of faith, not only for Andrea and her husband Anthony and their families, but for the whole community. When Andrea discovered she was pregnant, it became obvious that her choice of confirmation saint had been providential—St. Gianna Molla, who was made a saint because of her choice to save her baby’s life over her own. For Andrea, Anthony and the community there was no choice to make. We placed her future and her baby’s in Our Lady’s hands.

Today, where are we? In December of 2011, just a month after she was feeling her best, Andrea began noticing symptoms again of the tumor. By symptoms we mean that the left side of her mouth started drooping and she noticed that her left arm wasn’t functioning all the way. By Christmas all of us could see the progression and in our hearts, we knew what it meant. A visit to the doctor confirmed the worst. The tumor appeared to be back. Our founder (A Friend of Medjugorje) immediately called Marija who was in Medjugorje, and Anthony and Andrea flew there to be before Our Lady. Marija welcomed them as family and every day that they were with her, Marija brought Anthony and Andrea to the front of her chapel, told the pilgrims gathered there her story and then presented her by name to Our Lady. Our founder’s relationship with Marija is such that his requests are responded to with the love of a sister by Marija and this love has overflowed to the Community. This is a grace beyond belief and the fruit of Anthony and Andrea’s trip was that they returned home with such a peace and abandonment to God’s Will that it radiated in their faces. Despite the crosses, tears and struggles of each day, that peace remains. It is a humbling witness to us all.

When they returned from Medjugorje, another MRI was performed. The results were as expected: the tumor had returned…with a vengeance. This time it is the largest ever, covering one quarter of her brain. As Anthony met with the Community to discuss the results of the MRI in January, he told us the doctor’s diagnosis. Medically speaking, within 3-4 weeks she would not be walking and within a few months the tumor would spread so quickly as to attack her brain stem, shutting down all her systems and then she would slip away from us. Anthony told us that of course, the doctor wanted to operate again and have Andrea do chemotherapy, but Anthony revealed that Andrea was pregnant with their fourth child. In order to do the operation the doctor suggested to abort the child, but there was no question in their minds that this was not even considerable. So it is that Anthony and Andrea, along with the Community walking with the messages have a oneness in the path Our Lady has made clear. Our Lady’s way is ingrained now in this 2nd generation of the Community. The path Anthony and Andrea have chosen is the only way to go. No surgery. Choose life. Let God act. Tears filled the room. Anthony was strong, asking us all to continue to have faith, even until the 11th hour- not to give up hope. Lazareth was resurrected, he said, so our hope must not falter.

It is no coincidence that Andrea’s confirmation name and patron saint is Gianna. If you were to do a little research on St. Gianna Molla, you would be astonished at the similarities in her and Andrea’s story. Actually, Andrea’s second surgery took place on St. Gianna’s feast day, so Our Lady has given signs for us to pay attention to this “holy coincidence.” Because Andrea is pregnant, she and Anthony have definitely avoided all temptations to have the third surgery in order to protect the life of their child. Their doctor was respectful of Anthony and Andrea’s religious beliefs, but to him, Andrea is his patient, not the unborn child, so he wanted her to think of saving herself. She and Anthony have been a strong witness that they will choose life at all costs and we are all holding on to the hope that this little “seed of hope,” is a sign from God to be strong in our faith. The baby is due in September, a very long time after the doctor’s expect Andrea to be living, but this baby is the hope in all our hearts and surely the one thing that will keep Andrea fighting the fight. They will be keeping a close watch on the baby, but yesterday’s trip to the doctor went very well and the baby was actually moving so much that it made the ultrasound difficult to get measurements!

Anthony and Andrea Pipp, member of the Community of Caritas

Anthony helps Andrea walk to the Field for the daily Rosary of the Community. Andrea has been determined to walk herself to the Field as long as she is able, always with a smile on her face. Her dedication to the Rosary and Our Lady has grown stronger through the cross she carries, and both Anthony and Andrea have said that they feel Our Lady close to them as never before. Our Lady said from Medjugorje:

1986

“…If you would abandon yourselves to me, you will not even feel the passage from this life to the next life. You will begin to live the life of Heaven on earth…”

After years of following Our Lady’s messages in the life of the Caritas Community, Anthony and Andrea have become a beautiful model of total abandonment and surrender to God’s will. They know that death comes to everyone and if God’s will is that He is calling Andrea to be with Him, then they will surrender to His desire in peace and even in joy. At the same time they continue to believe and hope in His goodness for what is His desire. We, as a community, continue to pray for God’s will, while praying in hope, that even at death’s door God’s will prevail for what it is He wants for His children.

Our Lady has given NO indication for us that we shouldn’t expect a miracle. In fact, all the messages we have picked, scripture readings, novenas, etc., have encouraged us to hope beyond hope. This, however, is difficult as we watch Andrea deteriorate more every day. She walked as long as she could to Rosary in the Field, her left side dragging as she held clutched to her husband. Over the last few days, though, that walk has become too difficult and she is now in a wheel chair. She really has no use of anything on her left side. It is not slowly that we see the differences, it is overnight. Andrea’s and Anthony’s spirits, on the other hand, are unfailing. Andrea is tremendously at peace, always offering a smile to anyone who stops in to say hello and truly abandoned to the Will of God. This does not mean that tears do not fall, or that her pain is not sometimes unbearable, because they do and it is.

We are in the second half of a 54-day Rosary Novena in which our intention states, “our main intention is for Andrea that all will go well as we place Andrea in your hands. You know our hope dear Mother.” So, we ask for you to join us in prayer and sacrifices for her and her family. Pray strongly for God’s Will. Pray that all of us here are all that she and Anthony need for us to be. Pray for the baby and that Our Lady uses this whole situation for the Glory of God. It may be difficult for us to keep you updated on a frequent basis, so we ask that you keep in contact with us. Feel comfortable talking to anyone on the phones about her condition because we are all able to inform you of her progress. Medically speaking, her situation is hopeless. Medically speaking, neither she nor the baby will make it. But we hold on to the hope that Our Lady will not leave Her children. We want the Will of God so badly for this family and want to be pure with our intentions before Our Lady. Anthony has discussed all of his decisions with Our founder who has told him that they are in harmony with our “way” that Our Lady has established here. We do not know why Heaven has allowed all of this, but it is not for us to question, rather for us to accept and try to live perfectly our role in Our Lady’s plan. We love you all and count on your prayers- you remain in ours.

In the Love of Our Lady,
Erin on Behalf of the Entire Community

young family lost mother

On, Thanksgiving Day, November, 2011, Andrea said she hadn’t felt this good in years. There was the hope that maybe she had turned a corner with the cancer. But within a few weeks, familiar symptoms started to surface again. Knowing that Andrea had the desire to go to Medjugorje, our founder immediately made arrangements for Anthony and Andrea to go after the New Year, while Medjugorje visionary Marija was still in the village. They left to go to Medjugorje on January 2, 2012, and as they were saying good-bye to several community members, they were handed Our Lady’s words to Mirjana given that morning at the Blue Cross:

January 2, 2012

“Dear children; As with motherly concern I look in your hearts, in them I see pain and suffering; I see a wounded past and an incessant search; I see my children who desire to be happy but do not know how. Open yourselves to the Father. That is the way to happiness, the way by which I desire to lead you. God the Father never leaves His children alone, especially not in pain and despair. When you comprehend and accept this, you will be happy. Your search will end. You will love and you will not be afraid. Your life will be hope and truth which is my Son…”

With the message, we sent along with them our founder’s writing that he had written for the January 2, 2012 message, entitled, “You Need Not Drown” which beautifully paralleled their own walk with Our Lady. Our Lady gave them the gift of peace while in Medjugorje, whatever their future holds.

If you would like to join the Community in praying the 54-Day Rosary Novena, it is offered as a free download. The special meditations of this novena were written by A Friend of Medjugorje and was first prayed by the community before Our Lady’s visit to Caritas in March, 2011. You will understand the depth of prayer that is behind the writing of this novena after you, yourself, pray it. It is a powerful prayer and has become a favorite of the community’s for all of our needs. For the free 54-Rosary Novena download, click to visit here

Since we learned of Andrea about a month or more ago, we have added her and her family to our prayers. THANK YOU for this continued reminder, however, and please also remember us in your prayers ! My elderly mother, (age 84), as emphysema, and she is in very good health, otherwise. I pray that Our Lord will Bless her and heal her affliction so that she can enjoy whatever years she has left on earth. As we enter into this unknown territory that Our Lady has told us about, it is good to have the wisdom and knowledge of some of our elders to help us along, and my mom knows a lot about living the “hard way”. And, I come from a line of “commercial farmers”, and we are starting our veggie garden….but it is difficult to know how much and what to “store” and get ready for the times ahead. Our prayers are with all of you, our extended family at Caritas, we love you all very much and since we have no other family members who are Catholic, Jim and I truly look to you for family support. XO

  13. Thank you for this heartrending story of this beautiful young family. Thank you for sharing not only their witness to you in community but to all of us who consider ourselves part of your extended family. The first time I saw that picture of Andrea at her brother’s wedding, I thought there was something particularly profound about it. Her own mother suggested that Our Lord was preparing her for something particularly profound… Mothers know these things, don’t they? I was also reminded of Jelena’s question to Our Lady about why she was so beautiful and Our Lady’s response was – “I am beautiful because I love. If you want to be beautiful, love. There is no one in the world who does not desire beauty.” Thank you Andrea and Anthony for your witness of Love. You and your family are in my heart and in my prayers.

  14. How beautiful to read this story ,and yet how sad. I will include Andrea and the entire family in my prayers every day. 47. Bro. Andrea Sifuna

Dear friends of Our Lady, Good of you to have shared this story which is similar to that of Lazarus- meant to give glory back to God. There is nothing hopeless here! In the seeming ashes of Andrea (my namesake) and her husband, the hand of God will scribble order. And the only logic that there is is that all things lie at the mercy of God- nothing that is entrusted to Him is hopeless in His sight. And so I see that O.L will reward the prayers of so many people with tears of joy. Amen Andrea-Nairobi

I will offer prayers and sacrifices and contributions to the capital of grace that a miracle might be wrought and Andrea’s life spared, in a way that will elevate society’s understanding of the significance of the Medjugorje message at this time. My prayers are that Andrea’s healing could be for our nation and for all lapsed Catholics, an echo to the Glory of God on Earth.

  58. Dear Family in Christ, As Jesus said if you faith like the mustard seed, we can move the mountains, so let us have the faith like mustard seed and wait upon the Lord to work in Andrea’s life. 70. We have lived Andrea’s story. We lost our precious daughter, 33yrs. old, last March 6, 2011 to a brain tumor. In trying to encourage her, I would say, “do you realize how much God loves you?” Our faith is strong and God does not give us crosses that we cannot bear. If I did not have God and my faith through all of this, I do not know where I would be today. I only know that he was with me every step of the way, from beginning and continuing. Through our walk, we have experience our faith in ways I would have never imagined. Yes, Andrea is special to God and our hearts and prayers are with her, her husband, children and family.

  71. My prayers and fasting are also with you. I would include Andrea and family in our prayer group in our hour of adoration. His will be done. I also think the Lord in using your situation for the good of many. God bless you all.

  72. Please let Anthony and Andrea know I am praying for her and her family and I will ask our Holy Face of Jesus and Saint Padre Pio Group to pray for her also! May the Light of Our Lord’s Face erradicate that tumor!! All things are possible with God!! We pray in Love and Faith for Our Sister! I am positive Our Lady will be right beside them!

  81. We join you in prayer from our hearts for Andrea, Anthony, their children, and your whole CARITAS Community. God’s will be done. “Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen”. “Our Lady, Queen of Peace and Reconciliation, pray for us”.

  82. Maria Theresita Veloso

God is so good, this is His way of giving Andrea and Anthony a great entrance to heaven. All along the way there awaits an everlasting happiness for them.

  83. The Greek name Andrea means – strong; courageous, brave. My heart and prayer goes out to both of you and your families. Peace and Grace be with you all.

MY FAMILY WILL JOIN IN THE MANY PRAYERS THAT WILL BE SAID FOR THEIR FAMILY. MAY GOD BLESS THEM AND HELP THEM IN THEIR JOURNEY OF LOVE AND HOPE. THEIR FMILY. MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF THEM.

  88. Dear Family in JMJ, Our prayers, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, fasting, works and tears are with Andrea, Anthony, their children, Mark, Mary and all of you. Who has more powerful intercession to Our Lady and Our Triune God, than you, the Community of Caritas? And life struggles happen. You are witnessing to us your strong faith, not presuming that because you walk with Our Lady, the struggle is less. It’s a mystery to all of us that only God can see. And we all believe that something greater will come out of this. We are sending our love, God’s love.

  89. Lord, we do not seek to understand or question Your Ways! Knowing that You have created Andrea and Anthony, and their children, out of love is enough for us. May Your Will be done! Our Lady, hold their hands especially in these trying times. Pray for Anthony and Andrea that they will open their hearts to the grace of Faith. Amen.

  90. Thanks be to God for your true love and caring for one another that is the way we are meant to live helping our brothers and sisters to carry their cross. Ave Maria

  91. Dear Andrea and Anthony, Be assured of our prayers for you both. What a testament to life you both are showing in your life. Love and blessings, Susan and Douglas

  93. Our prayers are with you all. The community of Caritas and Andrea and family are a strong example and inspiration of how we should carry our crosses and live our lives, fully trusting in Our Father’s will. We love you all.

  94. Thank you for sharing information about the lives of Anthony, Andrea and all their CHILDREN!! “It is theologically and anthropologically important for woman to be at the center of Christianity. Through Mary, and the other holy women, the feminine element stands at the heart of the Christian religion.” – Pope Benedict XVI The womans womb is a HOLY Place a tabernacle for God to create a human life. Pray for another woman named Stephanie here in Sweden who had tumor in her womb, the tumor was removed and she was stitched-up. A few weeks later the baby had to be delivered prematurely and lives in an incubator. The mother is undergoing chemotherapy. Let us pray for Andrea, Stephanie and all women and for the sanctity of LIFE in the womb!! “If you follow the will of God, you know that in spite of all the terrible things that happen to you, you will never lose a final refuge. You know that the foundation of the world is love, so that even when no human being can or will help you, you may go on, trusting in the One that loves you.” – Pope Benedict XVI

  97. My prayers and thoughts are with Andrea and Anthony and their family during this difficult time. I am in awe of their tremendous faith and trust in God and their love of the Blessed Mother. Andrea and Anthony are such an inspiration and such a beautiful couple. It saddens me of what they have to endure, but they know that God is with them every step of the way. My heart goes out to them and their family. May God give them comfort.

  98. Andrea & her family are in my prayers. God has a plan and whatever He does is perfect. I’m so glad the family is at peace. My husband died 6 months ago and even though I am mourning, I am at peace. God’s grace is always, always there. Love to you all.

  108. Immediate prayers said for this lovely family. Robin and Jeff were our leaders for the pilgrimage I took to Medjugorje in October 2011. Anthony looks just like his Dad! I will offer a mass for Andrea at my local parish of which I attend daily mass. Fasting on Wednesday and Friday for her healing. With peace and every blessing. This story has opened my eyes and heart to what Our Lady asks of us.

  109. Thank u for sharing. I will be praying for Andrea and offering my fasting for her miraculous healing. From the bottom of my heart God bless her.

  110. May God bless Andrea and Anthony. What a beautiful deomonstration of true faith in Our Lady and her messages! This story is a true inspiration to all who read it. It truly makes my problems so insignificant to me. I shall keep her in my prayers. May God’s will be done.

  111. Hello dear friends…I am an American teacher, on a teacher exchange for the year in Scotland. I too, was at Medjugorje on Jan 2, 2012 and I have to say my heart was and is still so full of peace. The stroy of Andrea and her wonderful family is in my heart and I will be praying from here for Gods will to be done and the world to know Jesus by His works and faith in this amazing family and in your amazing community. I hope to visit your community when I come back to the US this summer. In Jesus and His merciful Mother, Kathy

  112. Today, I have felt strongly that Our Lord and His Mother are asking me to form a prayer group. I have never felt it this strongly before. If I suceed, Andrea will play a very important part in it. I will keep her and her family close to my heart in prayer. God Bless her and her beautiful family.

  113. I am Going to Prayer everyday For this Family starting From this night , Life is difficult sometimes but let trust Jesus he knows what’s best for us..in my mind His words DON’T BE AFRAID always thinking about this saying, I think that our small mind can not understand Our creator Mind for now. Let’s Trust him here is not our home we belong to Him we belong to Heaven.

  114. Thank you, I will join you in prayer and the rosary,I have faith that Jesus and our Blessed Mother will take of Andrea,Anthony and their 4 children. Love Bernadette.

  115. I have a Pilgrim Virgin Statue at my home as I read this….I will be praying for Andrea and her family tonight…..God’s will be done….great inspiration for all.

  116. May God bless Andrea, her family and Caritas community. I forwarded Andrea’s story to my prayer group and asked them to pray.

  117. Andrea’s story is truely amazing, her suffering is our chance to implore the Father through His Son and His Mother to heal this beautiful woman. It is our chance to implore divine assistance and give our own lives divine purpose. It is our chance to witness His divine help and tell the world, He will not abandon us. Gods every blessing to you Andrea from an Aussie who is the father of nine children, one of whome has Cerebal Palsy – give it all you have, Our Lady is with you.

  118. I will be praying for Andrea and I will ask my mom’s very powerful prayer group to remember her as well. May God give all involved the grace to do His will.

  119. Thank you for sharing this heartfelt situation. After viewing the beautiful pictures of Andrea and Anthony, I remember seeing them happily walking around the community during my first and only visit to Caritas in July 2009. Their children are precious! You did a wonderful job explaining the history of all that’s happened and what the present situation is… tears, of course, were streaming down my face after the realization of what’s happening for this young, beautiful couple who are so dedicated to our Lord and our Lady. I offered prayers immediately and will continue to do so. What always rings in my head during difficult situations as such is, “God’s timing is not our timing.” As difficult as that is, our faith tells us this is the truth. Even with this, anything is possible, and if God so chooses a miracle in this situation, then we praise Him ten-fold! If Andrea and the baby are taken, then we praise Him for their lives and we trust they will do wonders from Heaven!

  120. Prayers for Andrea and her family….from an 8th grade Catholic school class and teacher in California. May God bless you all, and may our Blessed Mother grant you strength and healing.

  121. What a coincidence! I, too, have just started the thanksgiving phase of the Rosary Novena. Is it too late for me to join in the prayers for Andrea and Anthony? I would also appreciate it if you would join my prayers with yours. I have some health problems, but not nearly what Andrea’s are. Mine are not life and death. Just a lot of pain. Rita Shea

  122. Rosalie Dancause, COC III

    Dear Erin and Community,

Thanks so much for the update on Andrea. Explaining it right from the beginning to the present makes it so much more understandable and easy to relate to. And this is the very best time to (Lent) because we’re all praying and sacrificing more now anyway, we’ll just aim it at Andrea and her family.

Everybody I know who prays, is praying for Andrea, including family, friends, parish priests and choirs, pro-life organizations, etc. Not that your prayers and your faith aren’t good enough, but, your ardent prayers haven’t spared her so far from all she has undergone and the tremendous pain she endures now, so whatever God’s plan for her is, it hasn’t been fulfilled yet, so we must still have more to do in co-operation. I got this email (below) from a man in Tennessee that the dear Lord just connected me with (providentially, I have no doubt):

“Dear Rosalie, Hello. Thanks for the blessings and thanks for e-mailing me. It’s a little busy but God does sustain me. Praise and glorify God’s goodness and mercy. I do want to know about Andrea.

“Our Society of St faustina of the Divine Mercy is now continuously praying for Andrea Pipp and for her family and community. We are praying the Divine Mery Conversion Prayer for her doctor and those who may be making it difficult for her. Our suffering souls and people who fast each week will offer their sufferings for healing and God’s will in her life as well as those who say extra Novenas and offer extra Masses.

“Also, we will have someone hold our 1st class relic of St Faustina before the Blessed Sacrament for Andrea on Feb. 26 and Feb. 27, 3PM for the Hour of Mercy central time as we pray a Chaplet of the Divine Mercy for healing and God’s will in her life.

“And we especially pray through the intercession of St Faustina a Chaplet of the Divine Mercy and a Holy Rosary to our Mother of Mercy everyday at 3PM the ‘Hour of Mercy’ during a Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament in our new St Faustina Shrine/Society Prayers for her.

“And we have included her in our current Novena to St Katherine Drexel.

She is a remarkable and virtuous Mother. I know our Lord is with her in her cross.”

[and I certainly agree with what he said and I italicized above!]
God be praised for the wonderful example Andrea and you all are to the outside world!

    Rosalie Dancause, COC III

  123. Thank you for the wonderful message of love, courage and faith. We are with you all and Andrea and her family. Count us in as we pray together to our Mother in love. Bage

  124. Dear Andrea everyone has the chance for the miracle and because of the faith in you and your family,HOPE for that miracle………..and the whole community is praying for you…

  125. I pray for pregnant women, and that prayer is: That they will have a happy, healthy pregnancy, safe delivery, that the babies will happy, healthy babies, who will grow up to Glorify God. Will add Andrea to my list.

  126. Dear Andrea & family, You were in a special way in the heart of my prayer during tonight’s apparition with Maria at Forum de Beirut, Lebanon. May this special Marial blessing we got touch your life and heal your wounds, in Christ’s power. Amen.

  127. I REMEMBER THIS YOUNG COUPLE FROM MY LAST VISIT TO CARITAS and their struggle with life, their obedience and love has made me ashamed of my own weakness in the face of my own obstacles and struggles. Their story has given me and instant “epiphany” of understanding God`s ways are not ours and the greater good will be unveiled for His glory. I offer my prayers and love

  128. Paul and Barbara Doner

Paul and I are praying for you and your family daily. You are a beautiful example of true married life, sacrificial and loving. Our Medjugorje Center here in Las Vegas is offering prayers and love. God’s will often takes place with healing at the moment when our hope seems lost, so we keep up our prayers with His will accepted. We love you and know you are the loving arms of Jesus. Paul and Barb Doner

  129. God Bless You Andrea & Anthony! You both, as Husband & Wife are showing us what True Love is between a man and a woman in a world permeated with (abomination) and every form of slander against the definition and belief in Marriage, Family and the Gifts of God, your beautiful Children!!! You already possess what every injured heart is yearning for, proof that God loves us, is with us, and is in us. Pray for us who have not experienced such love in relationships or in our marriages that we will not be selfish with our love but open ourselves to God’s Will as you carry this cross. You are in my prayers that you have the strength of Jesus as you carry this cross to victory in Our Lady’s plans. Please offer your suffering for the U.S.A to return to its contitiutional foundations and protect our Freedom of Religion and Rights to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. God Bless you and your beautiful children!

  130. This is my prayer that turns things around: Jesus, look down at me from your cross. I am coming to you–weak and sinful, and I am asking you to pin down all my suffering with you. Do with it as you wish. Let’s add the Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be and Apostle’s Creed to this and dedicate our fast tomorrow for both Andrea and her family and for the those who don’t believe in God yet–for those she suffers for.

  131. Marguerite Robichaud

  133. Sherry and Mike

Dear Caritas Community, I wrote Andrea and Anthony last week. I hope they have received our letter by now. Andrea has been on my mind constantly today. This seems so ironic. Tuesday, March 6th will be 3 years since the birth of our twin granddaughters and our near death experience of our daughter. Everything comes flooding back in our minds of those 40 days…and here we are at Lent again, now praying for our dear Andrea and family. Today’s Mass readings were the same as the ones three years ago…Abraham surrendering his son Isaac. My husband and I did this for our daughter the day after she delivered the girls. The doctors told us her chances were not good and that she may not make it through the night. It was at this time that we gave her to the Father. She did make it through the night and when we attended Mass the next morning, the reading was from Genesis, Chapter 22… Abraham offering his Son. Through our tears we both knew we had done what God wanted us to do. There are so many things that mirror our stories, and so I feel my heart directly connected. Our 40 day Lenten journey three years ago, as you know turned out to be a Resurrection story. Our daughter beat all odds and survived her 40 day trial…and there were many trials. Today through prayers and tears I recalled the last trial we went through. She had survived longer than the doctors ever thought she would survive. She was still very critical, but we were occasionally seeing signs of hope, then came the storm…the tornado that separated me from the rest of the family. I was caught at the hospital, with my daughter unable to leave. The nurses were preparing the patients in ICU for the storm. Our daughter could not be moved to the hall, as she was on a ventilator. Staff was taking cover; the tornado was a block away from the hospital. I stayed with our daughter. First I was angry at God for having brought us this far on the journey, and now he was going to take her and myself in this tornado, but I relented and told Him…Your will, not mine be done…and then I became calm and reassured reciting scripture and a prayer I recalled from my childhood. And this is the purpose of my writing. I went back through my memory today and I have been reciting that same prayer all day…only this time for Andrea. You are in the eye of the storm too Andrea, and when I recited this prayer, the tornado lifted, it never touched down. Not only that, but the storm was over for our daughter also. Her condition began to change the next day, a change that has baffled the doctors to this day. And so I write to you the prayer that I recited. Please, whoever reads this, join in this prayer for Andrea and her family. Sending our prayers and love to you Andrea and Anthony. Sherry and Mike Mary Immaculate Star of the Sea Mary Immaculate, star of the morning Chosen before the Creation began Chosen to bring, for Thy bridal adorning Woe to the serpent, and rescue to man. Here in an orbit of shadow and sadness, Veiling Thy splendor, Thy course Thou hast run: Now Thou art throned in all glory and gladness, Crowned by the hand of the Savior and Son. Sinners, we worship Thy sinless perfection; Fallen and weak, for Thy pity we plead; Grant us the shield of Thy sovereign protection, Measure Thine aid by the depth of our need. Bend from Thy throne at the voice of our crying, Bend to this earth which Thy footsteps have trod; Stretch out Thine arms to us, living and dying, Mary Immaculate, Mother of God.

  134. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to join the Community in prayer for Andrea and her family. I am so confident about the power of Our Lady’s intercesion that since now I say “Victory!”

We are keeping Andrea and her family in our daily Rosary intentions. We pray that Our Blessed Lady keep all of them under the protection of her Blue Mantle. We pray to God the Father, through our Lord Jesus Christ for the miracle of complete and permanent healing — if it be His will. We know that all good comes from God and from Him alone: “Apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5) He didn’t say “you can’t do much”… so we ask you Lord for Your help. We are also asking for the intercession of the Saints and all the Holy Souls in Purgatory. AMEN! Love, Joanie and Carl Parlatore
