Medjugorje Biblical…?

Dear Caritas,

“Conversion begins when we recognize our need for it. My Mom was good at recognizing what our Dad needed. She believed this good man who gave up on his religion many years ago, needed to respond to the distant call of Our Lady in Medjugorje. Almost ten years ago, for Mom’s sake, Dad accompanied her to this little village for the first time…Dad’s conversion was his own personal change.

Now, our father of seven was a successful businessman who rarely showed emotions. After visiting Medjugorje he spoke with such love of Our Lady that a few tears of joy flowed from his eyes and from the eyes of all who heard him. Dad never apologized for these tears, he just simply wiped them away with the back of his large hands. He felt Our Lady’s warmth, and this touched him deeply. Mom has never failed to thank Our Lady for returning Dad to his faith. Dad passed away of a sudden heart attack on the feast of the Annunciation. The timing of his passing was profound, the same time of Our Lady’s apparition. In Dad’s memory I have recently visited Medjugorje for the first time. I went with a heavy heart and returned with peace, pondering the words, “Thy will be done.” Thank you dear friends at Caritas for answering Our Lady’s call. You’ve encouraged and made it possible for us to accept Our Lady’s invitation.”

Who does not need peace? Who does not need healing? Who would not benefit being in union with God as the above letter shows? Nothing on earth, nowhere on earth, gives what Medjugorje gives. One could counter, “I have the Blessed Sacrament in my church.” That is true, and Jesus is there. But Medjugorje also has the Blessed Sacrament and the physical presence of Our Lady, transfigured in Her Glorified Body, everyday, as when Jesus appeared transfigured on Mt. Tabor. Unite Our Lady with Adoration in Medjugorje, Adoration like you have never experienced before, and you have an ingredient of Biblical proportions. Does reason not tell you that many of the three thousand who converted on the first Pentecost were filled with the sweetness of coming to the Savior, but at the same moment, realized the bitterness of what they missed just a few days before – the chance to meet the Messiah while He was alive? Oh, how sweet their experience of conversion and what bitterness they felt for what they could have had. In the time of grace, beg, plead, and pray to Our Lady. She will get you to Medjugorje if you have the “will.”
