A Friend of Medjugorje is the founder and President of Caritas of Birmingham, the world’s largest Medjugorje center in the world. He is also the founder of the Community of Caritas, a lay apostolate of missionaries, whose purpose is the living and the spreading of the Medjugorje messages. More on the Community of Caritas here…
A Friend of Medjugorje founded Caritas of Birmingham to spread Catholicism, in our mostly Protestant south. However, after his first visit to Medjugorje in 1986, he realized that Caritas’ purpose should be solely Medjugorje. For a more complete story on the founding of Caritas and its focus on Medjugorje, see here.
A Friend of Medjugorje writes under the name, “a Friend of Medjugorje”, because of a message that the Virgin Mary gave through Medjugorje visionary Marija, personally to him, in which the Virgin Mary told him to, “live in humility.” Hence, many of the early Caritas of Birmingham Medjugorje Newsletters were written anonymously. For more on the why he continues to use the name, “a Friend of Medjugorje”, visit here.
A Friend of Medjugorje is the author of the Caritas Medjugorje Newsletters, as well as many books, including several international bestsellers, such as Look What Happened While You Were Sleeping, It Ain’t Gonna Happen, They Fired the First Shot 2012, and Big Q, Little Q: The Calm Before the Storm. These books take popular world topics such as property rights, global warming, patriotism, the economy, and looks at these topics from a viewpoint of the Medjugorje messages. A Friend of Medjugorje was also responsible for putting together the most comprehensive book of the Medjugorje messages in English, Words from Heaven, which is still updated several times a year. To see just a small listing of the books which a Friend of Medjugorje has written, see here.
A Friend of Medjugorje also set up the most popular Medjugorje pilgrimage group, traveling from North America. BVM Pilgrimages was started in 1986, and has operated non-stop since. BVM Pilgrimages brings pilgrims to Medjugorje nine months out of the year, and has recently added an extension to Patmos, Greece, twice a year. The Medjugorje pilgrimage still follows the original format which a Friend of Medjugorje started, back in 1986. For information about BVM Pilgrimages to Medjugorje, visit here.
A Friend of Medjugorje has been a mover and shaker in the Medjugorje world. He has initiated many movements and spiritual projects for the purpose of spreading the Medjugorje message. Here is a listing, year by year, of some of the projects which a Friend of Medjugorje has spearheaded.
Were one to ask a Friend of Medjugorje what he does and who he is, he would answer simply, “I am a husband and a father.” The witness of the man who so many across the world follow, is one of desiring God’s will in his life, above all else. We encourage you to read his biography here, to understand more about his life and witness.

I too firmly believe that you can’t separate Mary’s messages when it comes to politics. We must demonstrate our faith when it’s under threat of oppression or even punishment. It’s very difficult for me to accept this new government regime when many of their policies go against human decency & dignity. How can we as a country perform abortions/murder of the most innocent, condone euthanasia, utiize aborted tissue for vaccines & say it’s ok?? If the most fragile aren’t protected we are lost as a species.

Thank you for your work and love for me and my fellow family of believers?
