Medjugorje, May 2, 2019 – Pilgrims crowd around at the Blue Cross on Apparition Mountain for Mirjana’s apparition on May 2, 2019. Why are these people here? These people have come to be in the presence of Our Lady. They are doing what the Sensus Fidelium have been doing for many years by coming to Medjugorje.
Our Lady has made it known for many years that it pleases Her when we come to Medjugorje. A Friend of Medjugorje was among the first to speak and write very strongly about the importance of going to Medjugorje. Following was written by a Friend of Medjugorje in 1996:
“…one may think, “OK, Our Lady says accept and live Her messages with seriousness — that doesn’t mean I have to go. Why then is it important that I go to Medjugorje? To live Our Lady’s messages is to meet Her desires. Our Lady many, many times expresses Her desires and what pleases Her. On June 25, 1990, Our Lady shows clearly when we come to Medjugorje how it makes Her feel.

“…I am happy that you are here today in such great numbers…”
and again:
June 25, 1993
“Dear children, I also rejoice at your presence here…”
Next year again:
June 25, 1994
“…I rejoice in my heart in seeing you all present here…”
But it is not just on the anniversary that Our Lady says that She is happy and that She rejoices in our answering Her call to be in Medjugorje. She does it many times to Ivan’s prayer group and also on other occasions. On March 24, 1989 (Good Friday), Our Lady said:
“Dear children, tonight your Mother is happy to see you in such large numbers…”
Again She repeats this joy of Hers on July 24, 1989:
“Dear children, tonight your Mother is happy to see you in such large numbers…”
Our Lady goes to great length of what it means for us to come to Medjugorje and be in Her presence even to the point of the way a mother would express it to a small child.
