There is a responsibility incurred because of Our Lady’s apparitions.

There is a grave responsibility that is incurred because of Our Lady’s apparitions. A Friend of Medjugorje has said and written many times throughout the years that we will have to answer because of the grace we are now getting through Our Lady’s apparitions. Our Lady Herself said on February 6, 1986:
A simple Medjugorje scene: a wine barrel, a pick, firewood, all signs of the hard-working, but simple life of the people that Our Lady came to in Medjugorje. When Our Lady first appeared, the village was full of stone houses like the one seen in this picture.
The messages of Our Lady are given freely, but there is a cost to them, and that cost is changing of one’s life.
“Before there was competition among the farmers, and among area villages. Now there is none. ‘Before, we used to think we had to work all hours to get done,’ says one [villager in 1986]. ‘Now we stop early and it still gets done.’ He laughs. ‘And we don’t swear anymore, or get drunk. How can we – and why should we – if the Gospa comes to our village every day?’”1
If the Gospa comes, is the impetus to begin. When the messages become a part of ones daily life, one then becomes guided by the principle, because the Gospa comes.
