This year the 9-day bread and water fast (November 1-9) continues spreading across the world for Our Lady’s intentions, giving Her a bountiful gift to present to God. Among some of the countries represented in this fast are:

An 87 year-old woman who just recovered from a heart attack is joining us, as well as 12 and 14 year-olds joining their parents in this fast. There are couples and friends and many others doing this fast for the first time, all feeling called in a special way to give this fast to Our Lady because they see the times we are living in.
The Community of Caritas does several 9-day fasts throughout the year. In 2001, A Friend of Medjugorje opened up this fast for others to join us in praying for atonement and purification. The prevailing message that A Friend of Medjugorje feels strongly that all should be meditating on these days is Our Lady of Medjugorje’s April 2, 2008 message:
