The 25th Anniversary of the Five Days of Prayer for the Reconciling of Ourselves, our Familes and Nation Back to God, came to a close yesterday, December 12, 2017, but the grace of these five days will continue throughout all of Christmas and beyond. This event, is the most well-known Medjugorje event in the U.S., taking place annually December 8-12, at Caritas of Birmingham. We share with you a few scenes from the past two days here at Caritas.

Christmas in the Field

Rosary Time on December 12, 2017 – The Cross on the mountain at Caritas overlooks the Field of Apparitions, with the Flag in the foreground. A Friend of Medjugorje reminded everyone that patriotism is a virtue, especially when it helps to bring about conversion for a nation.

The Patriotic Rosary being prayed at the daily Rosary on December 12, 2017 – The Patriotic Rosary continues to be the most-popular prayer offered for our Nation. We continue to pray in these days for our Nation, that the grace of Our Lady’s apparitions here in the Bedroom and Field, will bring a continual blessing of conversion for our Nation. A Friend of Medjugorje has continued to state that though God uses men for His purpose, ultimately the revival of a nation comes from God, but, it requires an acknowlegement of sin, true repentace, and the asking for forgiveness. Then God, “…will hear from Heaven. I will forgive ther sin, and heal their land…” Chronicles 7:14

  1. Thank you Caritas for such a beautiful time showing us the real meaning of Christmas and topping it all with love. Year after year we come and each time we see Our Lady working through you. Our family would not be the same without you. We see the Holy Spirit present and we receive much grace from Our Lord. You all worked so hard to make this perfect for us. May God bless you and may we take what you taught us to everyone we know. Thank you for making sense in this confusing world. You help us make sense of the past, the present and future. We have made so many friends throughout the years with your assistance. It is such a homecoming when we all gather. Each time we meet new people. It is not like meeting people in the world. When we meet those Our Lady has called it is like we meet with the heart. It is an immediate connection and your sacrifices, Caritas, makes this possible. May God Bless Caritas and may you all experience a Holy and grace filled Christmas.
